Y week

Well this week we all became experts on the letter Y!
We kept up our hard work with our science unit on wood. Ask your kiddo what happens when wood gets waterlogged. We also got in some Earobics and Type to Learn on the computers. These kids are working so hard! We had music with Mrs. Sibley as well as Kindergarten and are really getting ready for the Kindergarten Spring Sing!
We finished up this week with our wonderful Mystery Story teller whose clues had us all guessing. Dad's let's just say a bunch of your kids ratted you out for snoring like bears:).

Thank you for putting smiles on all of our faces!

Calling all Seastars!

I just wanted to put in one last plug for the Gala. If you don't have tickets yet, you can buy them at the door. Come support all of the wonderful programs that enrich your child's learning! See you there!

We talked lots about the letter "W" by learning about weather, the wind and wood! Ask your kiddo about their favorite type of weather as well as the five type of wood we are studying. They are learning so much! Kindergarten is so much fun!

This week Taylor turned six and to top it off, his mama was our Mystery Story Teller! What a treat!

And a special reminder that our district art show will be at the H.B. Art Center
538 Main St. H.B.
Friday, April 24, 2009 6:00-8:00 (Yes, next Friday!)

Everyone is invited. Come check out some fo the artistic kiddos from our district! A fun and FREE night on the town with your whole family! See you there!

Spring Break

This week was a fun one! We got ready for April to roll in and hopped into Spring!
Thanks to our wonderful room mom, we had some "egg-stra" special spring activities too!
As an added treat, Amy, Benny's older sister visited us as our Mystery Story Teller! She did a GREAT job!

We are working hard to get ready for our Spring Sing, as well as the Gala. I got a sneak peek at our class basket and it is AMAZING! Thank you all so much for working so hard on behalf of our little seastars! A special thanks so Melissa who makes it all happen with such class!

This week I was the "BIG Cheese" in room two. Usually I get to be the first one to show the kiddos how it is done but I was out when that ball started rolling so I went last this year. As Friday's BIG Cheese activity, as you all know, we are able to bring in something to share. I could think of nothing I wanted to share more than my little guy ;).

Happy Spring! Have a wonderful and safe holiday!
