I Wanna Iguana

So being a teacher, no less than a thousand times a day I think "I have the perfect story for this.." I got to thinking, I should have a more literacty based approach to raising my own children. Not really a bad idea. So today during their lunch time visit we read this..

As a prep for taking them here.. Prehistoric Pets.

Knowing the little critters were behind glass kind of soothed us all;)

One of the workers was kind enough to take out this little tortoise for Caleb to pet. I was so into it I forgot to take a photo. Darn. Here is an after the fact shot.

We even found our iguana:)

Good reads, good times:)
*note: For a small fee you are able to feed the turtles or tortoises. For five dollars (as a donation) you are able to get a closer look ar some more critters. Ages three and under are free. Everything we did there today was free.
