Good As Gold

This week we started up with our "Good As Gold" tickets. I am sure your kiddo told you all about it but save those little star tickets! Five of them are good for a "Super You's" and those go into our Friday raffle! (Don't forget once you have 10 Super You's they can be turned in to Mrs. Sullivan as well!)

Speaking of Mrs. Sullivan, she popped in this week to hand out awards for those kids who had turned in 10 Super You's! What a bunch of Super Kids!!

Friday wrapped up with a wonderful visit from Taylor's Aunt! She shared a story with us and send each child home with a new book! What better gift can we give than the gift of reading?! Thank you!!

Don't forget to put your heads together at home to fill that "Mystery Egg" for Friday. Think of something you would be excited to receive, you need not spend any money. Find something fun around your house!
Our Gala basket is coming along and the Gala is right around the corner! If you don't have your tickets yet, stop on the office and get on board!

St. Patty's Day, The Farm and Fun Friday

Well we survived another eventful week!
We kicked things off with some St. Patty's Day festivities! Thank you so much Mrs. Rubly for that festive green treat!

I am not sure if you heard but we had a visit from a very sneaky leprechaun as well. He even took a tinkle in our toilet and forgot to flush... we know because he left the water GREEN!! Eeeww!

We got ready to head to the farm on Wednesday and although we shared the fairgrounds with heightened security for the President's arrival, we had a very smooth day! A VERY special thanks to all of the moms who joined us and helped things to go so well!!

We have been working hard to learn our animal and farm signs in ASL. Ask you kiddo how to sign pig, dog, horse, cat, farm, barn, mouse, farmer, goat, sheep, chicken, rooster, bunny, cow, donkey and crops. It is impressive. (If they get stumped, look up the signs on ASL pro, that is the best ASL sight I have found).

We wrapped up our week with a special Mystery Story teller... Taylor's Grandma! She had us all laughing with her story and grateful for her gift of time!

We finished up our time together on Friday talking about and graphing what we like to do in the spring. The activity that got the most votes was taking a bike ride, what a great idea for this weekend! It was followed closely by playing baseball, jumping rope and reading a book. All great ways to enjoy the spring and your family! Whatever the weekend holds for your crew, have a good one and Happy Spring!

Fun Friday

Friday means FUN!
We had Friday Fun Time, Art Masters and our Mystery Story Teller!

Mrs. Eve helped us with our Van Gogh art.
Room 2 is busting with talent! Cristina's mommy came in to help us with art.

She headed out and then popped back in as our Mystery Story Teller! What a treat!

Room 2 also helped me round up all the pennies from our school wide drive for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Our grand total was $947.50. That is a lot of pennies! Thanks for all of your support!

We measured and weighed Dinos...

We made Dino hats..

We made donuts.. (who knew D could be so delicious?!)

We also read lots and lots of dino books!
